In 2010, the theme park industry forever changed. Phase 1 of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at Universal’s Islands of Adventure park in Florida. Always viewed as a distant second to Disney’s theme park empire, Universal finally rivaled Disney. With its attendance skyrocketing, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was an instant success and one of the best themed lands ever created. Phase 2 opened shortly thereafter in 2014 at Islands of Adventure’s sister park, Universal Studios.
We visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida for the first time in 2019. We instantly fell in love and knew this place was something special. Themed perfectly to the movies and J.K. Rowling’s outstanding novels, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter offers the best attraction in the US and some of the best restaurants, shops and shows.
